The Lady Who Doesn't Lunch: said...

You've hit upon one of my favorite things in all the world. I often make this in the evening after dinner to have for lunch the next day.

Your way seems interesting and fat-free. I, of course go for olive oil instead of vinegar or wine, but then again I skip the cheese, so it probably balances out.

Too bad I can't pack a glass of Chianti in my lunch too.

beautiful!

this is my favorite salad ever. although sometimes i use a sprinkling of italian dressing, i prefer the balsamic vinegar way. also, if i have roasted red peppers around (if i remember to buy em) i'll cut them into strips for cool designs.

my best valentine's day ever involved making dinner with the man. while shopping he couldn't understand why i was insistent on fresh basil for this salad. after tasting it, he smiled and confirmed the extra effort was so worth it.

so, now that i am hungry and can't do anything about it, i need to make a mental note to find me a small basil plant. wonder where i can get one already started...

Lady: Many days this is my lunch. Light and delicious and filling.

Becky: I found this one with the fresh herbs at the grocery store.
