"IN MEMORY OF EILZABETH"

He loved her enough to create a mobile memorial,
but not enough to spell her name right.

I bet Eilzabeth is totally pissed right now. She probably told St. Peter to not let this loser past the pearly gates when he arrives. Or at least mess with him for a few thousand years before letting him in.

Eilzabeth always said, "he ain't real smart, but I loves him."

It IS the thought that counts and what were they thinking??!!

As an art director I am offended by
1) the lack of proof reading,
2) the choice of font (unreadable!),
3) the a atrocious word spacing (In of memory Eilzabeth"? ), and
4) the placement of the message (is a Cheverolet really a fitting memorial for someone you loved?)

As someone named "Elizabeth", I'm just offended!
Peel those off and try again!

Makes me glad that my name only has 4 letters in it...

Oh, I mean: Poor Eilzabeth.

One good thing...I couldn't read it anyway. It does make you wonder why he immortalized her on the rear of his vehicle. I wonder what's on the inside...

I actually see a lot of these memorials here in Florida, some including a photograph of the deceased. And that font isn't unusual for these things.

My thought - what if her name really was Eilzabeth, because her parents couldn't spell for the birth certificate?

To be fair, that font is from the olden dayz. Correct spelling was optional back then.

They had more important stuff to worry about anyway. Like, hunting wildebeests and stuff.

We used to call her Eel.

Those old english letters make me cross-eyed.

I'm so glad Elizabeth didn't live to see this.

And judging by the font, she died in a hail of gunfire.

LegalMist said...

Are you sure he spelled it wrong? Could be that her parents spelled "Elizabeth" wrong on her birth certificate, and so now "Eilzabeth" is her correct legal name.... You laugh, but I've seen it...

At least it wasn't a tattoo. ;-)

I'm sorry, but I don't feel bad for laughing!
