Everything I Like Causes Cancer

I really thought LM had this week wrapped up when Lori W came out of nowhere and claimed the title by correctly identifying the song title and artist four of the seven days last week.

The competition between these two this week is fierce: Lori W won Weeks 1 and 3 while LM took the lead in Week 2. I can only assume that these two really want some stained glass.

LM? If you win this week you and Lori W will each have a 50% shot at the grand prize; if you lose, Lori W has a 75% chance of taking it.

Good luck to both of you and may the best woman win.

My belly is still full and my mom and I are going shopping. That's all I've got for you today. You're probably busy with your own family and not here anyway.

The Bachelor is one of those shows that I really like at the beginning when the pool of contestants potential mates is large. My interest usually fades as the numbers dwindle, but I was compelled to watch the recap show last night when I heard that this year's bachelor had rejected both girls at the Final Rose Ceremony.

I desperately hoped he would come out and say something like,"I have never met a more vapid group of women in my life. I never liked any of you, but had to tape the show as if I cared because it was in the contract." Man, that would have been fantastic.

A lot of what he did have to say for himself, however, sounded like double-speak. I think his gist was this: he didn't want to make a false promise. He liked both of them but not enough to get married. He said he knew when he was shopping for the ring.

There was a lot of eye rolling and moaning coming out of the audience, but I know exactly what he means. Only I didn't have the courage to stop the avalanching wedding plans and ended up unhappily married to the wrong person. Once you sign on for something like that, even just the promise to keep dating after the show to see if things would work out, it's ten times harder to take it back.

I understand how DeAnna was/is confused by the sudden change in his behavior. I hope with time she realizes that the truth always comes out and that it hurts less when it comes out sooner.

BTW, I really liked DeAnna. So obviously confused and angry, and yet collected. Her answers were direct and honest. Now I wish I hadn't skipped the last 5 episodes. But I was trying to get a life.

I really have to apologize. Good content seems to elude me these days. I don't feel well and I'm in a hermity kind of mood. I promise it will pass. I think the combination of the impending holidays and gloomy weather have taken their toll on me already. I'll work it out.

I think the fever I ran all day has caused brain damage. It seems I like Project Runway. I just watched 12 straight hours of it.

This is my recipe for Veggie Pizza:

2 packages crescent rolls
2 8 oz. packages Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Veggies of your choice, finely chopped (I use mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, and a tiny bit of radish)

Preheat the oven to the temp indicated in the instructions.

Spread the rolls in a jelly roll pan. Bake until brown. Cool completely.

Cream the salad dressing mix, mayonnaise, and cream cheese. Spread over cooked rolls.

Sprinkle cheese over the top and add the veggies.
