Everything I Like Causes Cancer

Where we've been convinced to write a new post on Dec. 2. Stay tuned!

If you read the blogs I read, and especially those that sometimes drone on and on ad nauseum about sports, you will have gathered from my comments that I don't follow sports.  At all.  Outside reading what the incredibly handsome boys around these parts have to say about it, and really I'm only skimming their silly words to see if they say my name, I couldn't have told you who was even playing in the World Series.  If you had asked me who I favored I'd have tilted my head, much like a confused puppy, and asked you if it hadn't already been played.

But this video made me a Philly fan.  Best team ever.

I couldn't tell you a thing about sports either, although I'm pretty sure the world series is about baseball.

I. STRONGLY. DISLIKE. SPORTS.

However, if other people love it, great, I'm not an asshole like that.

Poo: Agreed, ambivalent is a good way to describe it.

I still don't get the fascination with sports. Whatever.

Welcome to the bandwagon! (It wasn't your newfound fandom that made them lose tonight, was it? WAS IT?)

Ah, it's all the company you keep, isn't it? So, no sports-nuts replying yet, but you know that's coming.

Agreed. I'm a guy with no sports-watching gene, but pretty much everything else works fine. If I had to watch a sport I wish it could be Calvinball.

I think I'm middle of the road on sports (despite the picture). I won't get up at 2:00 am to watch the New Zealand All Blacks play the English in rugby or something stupid like that. But I will probably watch 5 innings of the World Series, but 12 hours of football this weekend.

But I do think of Tim McGraw as Tug McGraw's son, not the other way around. So country music or sports? I guess I'd have to say "sports", "I like it. I love it." But I'll pay it's cab fare home so I don't have to wake up with it, theme-ing of yesterday's topic.

Go Phillies. Actually the only thing that is harder to read than a really long sports blog is a political post. Geez. How do people get through those things?

Words3: My God, I hope not. See? This is why I stay out of sports.

Well, this is one sports fan and baseball fanatic that, although a die-hard Cardinals fan, also quietly roots for the Phillies - gasp! (except that one game I was at this year when they beat us 22-2, that sucked). Anyway, since you don't like baseball I'll give you plenty of other reasons to root for Philly, in no particular order: Jim's Steaks on South Street- "pepper Provo 'wit', please", TastyKakes, Freedom, Ben Franklin, Rita's Water Ice, American Bandstand, Libraries, and Post Offices. Go Phillies.
