It's cold. It's windy. It's supposed to snow or some such crap.
I hate winter.
I hate winter.
I hate winter.
That's not true. What I hate is being cold, but they generally go together. I turn into a hermit after the first frost and do everything in my power not to leave this house. My friends joke that they will see me when the sun comes back.
I love being holed up at home. Mostly I read books and watch movies and bake things and order Chinese people's food. On nights like tonight I dream of a comfortable, full-body (but still flattering) goosedown suit with footies and attached mittens.
Why oh why has such a thing not been invented already? I would wear that sucker everywhere. I'd buy seven of them, one for each day. It would be like living in a blanket.
That's it. I can't take it anymore. I'm going upstairs where it's warmer and surround myself with flannel sheets and a ton of warm blankets.

You know what I bet would make you feel better? SNOOOOOOW!
Wait... is this in preparation for your Pillow Fight Party too? Like you keep talking about how cold you are and you wish someone could keep you warm and then suddenly three other girl bloggers in knee high boots show up?
I grew up in Wisconsin. I love cold and snow. We don't get enough of that here in St Lou.
Baby, what you NEED is one of THESE.
Admit it, you thought it would be porn, right?
Oxymoron of the day: FLATTERING FULL BODY GOOSEDOWN SUIT.
Think about it.
Looks like someone found themselves a topic for a post! :) Hope you get warm soon Gwennie.
I will gladly take your winter and whatever you're baking off your hands. Hell, while I'm at it order some orange chicken, too.
hahahah! You're just like me!
I'm with McGone.Want to hear more blogger meet up prep.
Well...since you're not wanting to leave the house, and only wanting to curl up in your bed with tons of blankets...
Makes me think plans will be a-changin' for Sunday.
Is the bed big enough? ;-)
I am alive and well, Gwendolyn! Actually, I'm fighting off being sick, to be honest. But I am alive! Just haven't been in the blogging spirit lately. I can't get enough of Dr. Z's message to you. I keep listening to it over and over and laughing.
I was very much expecting your intro to contain a reference to "mocha colored poultry & chocolated hued bovine" if you know what I mean.
But seriously, we've got nothing on Poobomber. He doesn't have summer, just 3 months of bad skating, as my father would say.
You could just buy a Snuggie.
Being someone who plays...perhaps too many video games...I see the practical applicability of these new wonder products on the flickering demon I call a tv. Too bad the color selections effing suck.
mjenks stole my thunder, I actually just looked up the Snuggie link but I am too late...
I am with you on the cold though. I HATE winter. I hate shoveling, getting stuck driving, wearing 26 layers of clothes, freezing, shivering, and everything else. I am retiring to Tampa probably this year.
Winter isn't even that big of a deal here in Sav. It lasts for like 2 months and the rest of the year it's boiling hot. But I still hate it.
Actually winter here is worse than in Sydney (Australia). It doesn't get down to literally freezing EVER in Sydney and it does regularly here.
Not sure Husband would let me get footie PJs but I like the way you think!
Also, come play my comments-game today! It'll keep you warm, I promise!
I'm not shilling for them honest to God, I don't wear pajamas.
How did you know I just baked up a piping hot batch of my world-famous grumblecakes?
Chock full of lethargy and with those nuggets of sad that you like so much. Come over and we'll have them with hot toddies...
I love being holed up in the house in my flannel PJ's and fluffy slippers when it's snowing outside.
And I also love Chinese peoples' food. LOL!!

As usual, I'm way behind in my comments, but just want you to know I'd snuggle up next to you in a heartbeat! That is, of course, if you'd come out to the East Coast, Southern New England to be exact. I'm a bit of a hermit in this weather, too. Wishing you and the other bloggie friends good weather for your get together this weekend!
