All these years later, I still say "Because you're a complete bastard and we all hate you" when appropriate.

Have you ever seen the University Challenge episode with Emma Thompson and Hugh Laurie? Hilarious.

Ah, the Young Ones. Utterly brilliant. I love watching the classic music performances that have absolutely no bearing on the rest of show.

I had no idea this was popular outside England... what about Bottom? Did you guys get that as well? It was a sitcom with Ade (the Punk) and Ric living together and basically hitting each other for half an hour.

I can't believe you posted this! I was totally going to post about The Young Ones, but then like always I end up never posting about anything at all, so you beat me to it.

I LOVED this show when I was a teenager. My favorite line was by Neil who said, "Can you like, actually kill yourself with laxatives?"

My friend Amy and I still jump around and shout out "House Meetin'!" in irritating Cockney accents.

Also loved the musical guests they would have on the show, Motorhead, The Damned, Dexies Midnight Runners. A twelve episode classic. Thanks Gwennie!

I liked the part when the monkey came running in and shit on the table.

Comedy gold right there.

They probably shot him later... just a guess.

This reminds me that I need to watch more BBC America.

God I love the Young Ones.

I didn't know you had even heard of it over here.

When I was five, I wanted to marry Neil. "Oh no, the lentil souffle is ruined!"

I don't think I've ever seen the Young Ones, before. Were Kids In The Hall a take-off on them? Very funny. And, both hands up, I like you, woot-woot.

Neil has always been my favorite. I have a thing for dirty hippies.

I actually thought this was pretty funny BEFORE the fart. Now I want to watch it all day long.

Good lord, the memories! And I remember the episode Words Words Words mentioned, but had no idea Emma Thmpson and Hugh Laurie were in them. Must track those down. Gwen, let's have a "Young Ones" marathon. I'll bring the lentils and laxatives.

I loved The Young Ones when it was on. I loved Vyvyan (the fact that he spelled his name like that made him more awesome!) Adrian Edmondson is brilliant.
