When I did the last Pen Pal Project I posted a picture of the stamp I used on all that NC-17 goodness, the Legends of Hollywood Bette Davis stamp, and promised a prize to the first person to identify what had been photochopped out of the picture. Chemgeek was the first to accurately describe what was missing, in his words "not just a cigarette, but the long black thing that one can use to smoke a cigarette", but the first person to accurately identify the item, by name, was Soda and Candy. In my mind, they're both winners and deserve a wicked awesome Gwenprize.
Testing you on a Friday because I know you aren't really working.
Well, the most recent round of Pen Pal Project cards went out earlier this week and I am already getting feedback from y'all in emails, texts, and even a post from the lovely and lively Cora who writes Love Letters From Cora. (She rocks, check her out.)

Wanna make out? I've got story virus.
Here's what I would like to do. I want to create a story that branches out in a variety of different, unexpected ways. I don't know how realistic it is, but that's what I'm aiming for. Hopefully, at least one thread of the story can make a decent number of hops before it dies out.
If you are one of the carriers of this story virus (i.e. you have been tagged and choose to contribute to it), you will have one responsibility, in addition to contributing your own piece of the story: you will have to tag at least one person that continues your story thread. So, say you tag five people. If four people decide to not participate, it's okay, as long as the fifth one does. And if all five participate, well that's five interesting threads the story spins off into.
Not a requirement, but something your readers would appreciate: to help people trace your own particular thread of the narrative, it will be helpful if you include links to the chapters preceding yours.
I hunched down to see what it was, but as I did, the bus violently veered to left. I was thrown up against a heavyset Asian woman with blond hair. I pardoned myself, but she faced forward with no reply. Just then, a man wearing a jumpsuit of silver and gold stood up at the front of the bus. He was holding a megaphone and a box of graham crackers. He held the megaphone up to his face and began to speak... (Some Guy)
There once was a paradise and then a serpent came into that garden.
Last week I posted a list of seven things about myself that allegedly happened the day prior and asked everyone to guess which one was a lie. I don't have any hullaballoo written for this so let's just get to it, shall we?
1. I pulled a hamstring putting on my pants.
Sadly true. I told the story as soon as I got to work and LilBRR asked, “How high were you holding your pants?!” Considering I’m six months from my 40th birthday and she’s not yet 30, I dismissed her query as ridiculous. Freakin' whippersnapper has no idea how quickly things deteriorate once you pass 35. My first thought as soon as it happened was, “Well, I guess this is the way it’s going to be from now on.”
2. The butcher at the grocery store had shaped a pile of pork sausage into a 3D pig face and I immediately thought, "Start snappin' you fingers!" (Zibbidy's last avatar was a pig mask with this caption.)
3. I had a KFC Mashed Potato Bowl for lunch and it gave me heartburn.
True. H and I call it the Bowl of Sadness because it’s so bad. In about three months I’ll have forgotten how bad it makes me feel and go back for more.
4. Driving to work I couldn't figure out why my car never warmed up inside. I was pretty upset that it was going to need more work and then realized the air conditioning was on.
False. Kudos to Legal Mist for being the only person to get it right! She said it was so innocuous and true-seeming that it just had to be false. I suppose it took another legal mind to see the truth in its simplicity. That said, this is totally something I would do so I can’t be upset with the rest of you for knowing me so well. Hugs.
5. I only received a handful of emails with CHRIST! in the subject line which means those of you who sent one can expect a much better gift and/or card than I originally planned. Anyone who sends a request after I publish this post can expect a lump of coal. So there.
True. The number of people who have emailed me their snail mail addys has increased slightly since this was originally posted but my Christmas cattle call is closing on Sunday so if you want me to mail you goodies for Christmas, speak now or don’t whine later. Scratch that, don’t whine ever. Just send your snail mail addy to guenosdias847 at gmail dot com and put CHRIST! in the subject line. Also, please don't feel like you can't participate because you're new around here or don't comment. How the hell else are we going to become BFF? Send it!
6. I realized that I am in the weeds at work so deep that there needs to be three of me. Any of you have an interest in tort law and a nonpaying internship? Email me and put “SLAVE” in the subject line.
True. Just a short year or so ago my team at work had 14 people on it. Our team handles a large body of work that spans all of the
7. I received a comment from “Brian”, which I know is one of you messing with me. I tried to narrow it down but it could be any one of you freaks.
True. I’m pretty certain I know who it is and it’s cracking me up although I wonder why he shut down his blog and if he’s okay. You okay, man? Leave me a note on the garage.
Speaking of Brian, I have not received any sort of response since I left my note in its plastic sleeve. I imagine he decided I wasn’t all that if I was responding to anonymous notes left on my garage and, logically, he’d be right.
My favorite part of #7, though, was when Whiskeymarie posted a comment as herself then attempted to post one as “Brian” but forgot to sign out before she did it. Her name and avatar were all over it until she deleted it. I was upset we didn’t get a chance to make fun of her dorkitude back then so I’m calling her out here. I wouldn’t be worthy of her admiration if I didn’t.
If I don't see you again before Thanksgiving, I hope your horn of plenty overflows and your blessings are many.
I recommend pulling out your favorite fat pants now so you don't find yourself at the table, all bound up in jeans with nowhere for your expanding waistline to go.
BWAHAHAHAHAA!
Scope sent me a link last night on Facebook but I didn't see it until this morning. Once viewed, I knew it was the perfect way to introduce the holiday season here at EILCC.

This oughta get us there.
I know I promised to go back to the end of this post and deliver the last however-many obscenities but my staff meeting ran long yesterday and by the time I got back to my desk it was so late in the day that I needed to hit the ground running and keep the pace. So no update.
Which is actually, I think, a good thing because I had all day to think about this sick series (imagine a ticker tape running obscenities in the back of your brain all.day.long) and came up with a much better end for it than just posting a list of obscenities until we hit 10%. Booor-ing. Trite.
I’ve decided to catalog and post, in order of receipt, all the filthy terms from your raunchy comments and we’ll see how high we get. Much more fun and interactive, don't you think? Assuming this was ever fun. It seemed like you were having fun. Is this getting awkward now? Yeah? Well, tough shit because I have to complete this scientific, pornographic jihad or it will consume me. My mind is already so saturated with filth that ordinary, everyday conversations are morphing into smut. For example, yesterday in the smoking lounge this guy I know was talking about Internet Explorer 6. I heard him say Internet Explorer Sex and thought he was saying he'd jammed up his computer with porn. I also asked him if his cat’s name was Shit. In all fairness, the cat is named Poo. I was close.
Anyway, let’s do this thing before I get fired or punched:
Fuckin’ A, fucking, fuck, bullshit, fucking bad-ass, shit, penis, vagina, vagina, vagina, badassery, badass, fucking badassery, tit, clit, pussy, slit, chuff-pipe, frottage, cockroar . . .
I have no idea what a cockroar is. I even looked it up. Imaginary Reviewer? Can we get a translation, please?
. . . sexual, badass, sexual, badassify, bitchin’ badass . . .
Here it comes, hold onto your hats.
. . . felch, badass, felch, fucking, felching . . .
Seems like once you add felching the party mix no one can taste anything else.
. . . fisting, badass, Poo . . .
Poo was used as a name but I’m counting it because he’d want me to.
And then there it was . . . the one I’d been waiting for all day . . . Eric came through with George Carlin’s Seven Dirty Words, the Holy Grail of obscenity:
. . . Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, Tits . . .
Not only that? He threw in a badass and another tits just because he’s a freak like that.
. . . felching, fisting, fucking assholes . . .
Go back and read that run again, we'll wait for you.
. . . badass, felching, donkey punches, dirty sanchez, Cleveland steamer . . .
And finally, we bring it on home with:
. . . felch, schlong face, buttmunch, cream pies, and um . . .assalingus.
Though I linked to many of these terms and acts, I only had to personally research a handful. I don't know whether to be ashamed or proud. Slick suggested I deserved some sort of award for the poem and I agree, but I think it should be for the series. You guys get busy making me an award and I'll be over there - points to corner - curled up in the fetal position, reading scripture in an attempt to evict the gutterslut who's taken up residence in my medulla oblongata.
I was going to say frontal lobe but medulla oblongata sounded dirtier.
Make it stop.
Help me.
Let's badass this mother up.
See that button over there in the sidebar? The bright green one that reads, "MY BLOG IS X.XX% BADASS." Well, you can click that button, enter your blog's url, and it will tell you just how badass your blog is. I'm not sure what the highest possible rating is, nor do I officially know the criteria but I suspect it's based on the number of obscenities on your site. I think poobomber invented it; I could ask him but I'd rather find out scientifically.
At the time of posting the meter registered 3.93% badass. I've written a poem cock chock full of curse words and obscenities. In a minute I'm going to hit publish and then run to see what happened to the rating. Vurry scientific, no?
My Badass Poem
Shit hell damn fuck,
cock sucking vagina penis.
Balls and tits on the head of an ass;
whores, sluts,
perverted dildo bastards.
If it works, I invite you to join me in the comments. Blue it up. Let's see how high (low?) we can go. If it doesn't work, I invite you to admire my erotic poetry. Since we're going to be fucking around, I've activated word verification, the Trojan of the Internets.
UPDATE, 11:46 AM:
You guys are cracking me the fuck up! Zibbs, that poem is tits. I've realized, however, that the button doesn't automatically update nor does it register the wonderful profanity you've dropped in the comments like a big turd, which is a total fucking rip-off. Poob should fix that, don't you think?
That said, I am not some lame-ass fucking quitter piece of shit. In order to keep the badass rating soaring skyward today, I vow to come back periodically and post one previously unpublished obscenity for every comment I get. So keep 'em cumming - it's like making a pledge to your local public television station but filthy and your mother would hate it.
So far there are 11 comments. Here goes nothing:
cock ring, dickweed, cunt, asshole, titties, rim job, blow job, hand job, glory hole, nipple, anal
UPDATE 5:10 PM
Another six comments and I see things have degraded into felching and fisting. I fucking love you assholes. Here's your next six obscenities:
genital warts, gangbang, son of a bitch, god damn, cum stain, fingerbang
Be sure to cum back later - I came up with some incredibly nasty ones that I want to link to but can't on this computer.
The idea for the following piece was stolen from Hellohahanarf. I've said it before and I'll say it again, she's got the best games over there.

The traditional one-year anniversary gift is paper. Really. And yet here I sit tapping away on my keyboard on my one year blog-o-versary, defying tradition and wreaking havoc. Having occupied this little corner of the Internet for one year is a real accomplishment for me. I rarely stick with any amusement for long and I truly thought I would bomb. I'm no Dooce or a Pioneer Woman, but I really enjoy writing here and you guys make it all worth it.
A week or so ago I read my way down memory lane, reviewing every last one of my old posts starting at Day One: July 7, 2007. While there were some gems in the older stuff, many of the early posts weren't great. I've made progress, my voice and style have improved, and the stats show it: last July there were a total of 201 visits to this website; this year I've accumulated 243 in the first 6 days. I realize this is still a small following but I'd much rather have 40 people that I know and love reading and commenting here than to have so many that I can't possibly know them.
I attribute much of this evolution to you, dear readers. Whether I hear from you in person or in the comments, your feedback has been instrumental in shaping my writing. If I didn't have such good quality readers I'd likely put out an inferior product because, as we've established several times over the past year, I'm lazy. So thank you for being so awesome that it nips at my heels. You keep it coming and so will I.
Oh, yeah. There was one other thing I noticed as I reviewed the last year. At least once a month, without fail, I did something really embarrassing or stupid. Shocked? Yeah, me neither. It's good to have something you can rely on, you know?
I started taking notes in August, absentmindedly jotting down the titles of the posts I enjoyed writing and that seemed to make y'all laugh. I eventually decided to share it with you. Thanks again for being here this past year. It was fun and I'm ready for whatever comes next. Enjoy the list.
